Makasutu

A full day tour of Makasutu gives you an everlasting experience, a mixture of different activities, horse cart riding, canoe trip in the creeks, taste of palm wine.

This day-long excursion  gives you an experience and possibilities to visit a Gambian family and school, and also a Senegalese family home. Excursion with RM tours includes cold drinks such as Fanta, Coke and Beer. Lunch is also inclusive.

Inspired by the infamous slave trade, this round-trip tour is designed to enable you follow the footsteps of millions of Africans who were forcibly snatched from Africa and taken to the Americas through the middle passage.

This is a family-oriented football tournament event for both kids and parents. Kids on tour will get to form their own football teams and play against their Gambian counterparts in a Football Tournament which is organised by RM Tours in December. 

Join us for this relaxing and enjoyable cruise through the magnificent tributaries of the majestic river. Departing from your hotels by 08:30 a.m., we proceed to Denton Bridge which is located approximately 15 minutes from your hotels.

This excursion for nature and bird lovers starts early in the morning at 6:30. From our respective hotels we will go to Tanji where we will get to see the magnificent sun rise over the peaceful Tanji River.

We will begin this half –day by picking you up at your respective hotels around 08:30am. We will then travel by coach to the Bijilo Monkey park to watch these playful creatures in their natural environment. After  the monkey park we will proceed to the Brikama Craft Market to view and purchase the excellent craftsmanship of The Gambia’s  best wood carvers. 

Market Shopping

This half day trip starts when we leave from the hotels around 8:00 am. Our first stop will be at Brikama Craft Market, one of The Gambia’s largest local markets for wood carvings. We’ll be given the possibility to buy these beautiful handmade carvings such as masks and drums.

This is a half – day excursion for nature and bird lovers. Exploring the peaceful creeks on the river Gambia and seeing the various facets among the 500 different species of the birds in The Gambia.

Join us for this relaxing and enjoyable romantic evening cruise through the magnificent tributaries of the majestic river. 

This evening excursion exposes you to the night life in The Gambia. Departing from your respective hotels will be by 5:00pm, we will then proceed to Tanji for a dance and drumming course which is a dominant aspect of The Gambian culture life. 

This is a full day river excursion, based on the book “ROOTS” written by the famous African American author, Alex Haley. 

Pick up will be by 8:00am from your hotel, and depart for a comfortable cruise of about 20 minutes to YABOUY HOME COOKING. This is an initiative of Mrs. Ida Cham Njai, a dynamic Gambian woman who has been working in the tourism industry of The Gambia for over 20 years.

Join us for an agricultural day tour. Pickup from the hotel will be at 9:00 am visiting the Women’s Local Vegetable Garden, the Abuko Livestock Market and the Fish Farm. 

This is the perfect trip for you who want to be able to experience as much as possible of The Gambia. Leaving from the hotels we drive to SOS Children’s Village for a visit. Our next stop will be in Tanji and the large fishing harbor located in the village, there we will be given the opportunity to learn more about the fishing industry in The Gambia. 

Join us for a cultural experience to Kafunting. Pick up from your hotels by 7:30am. We drive 45 minutes to the Gambia Senegal border for passport identification. 

A Day with a Gambian Family

This excursion begins at 9:30 pm where you will be picked up from your hotel to begin our adventurous day with a Gambian family for a cultural experience taking part in their daily activities. On arrival, the women will join the local women in shopping for produce at the local markets and take part in preparation and cooking lunch and the men will join the local men for a day of chatting and drinking attaya. 

Join us for a cultural day tour exploring the North Bank Region of the Gambia. Pickup from your hotels will be at 6:30 am from where we will go to the Terminal at Banjul. 

Fishing

Aboard motorboat, we travel down Gambian coastline, whose inshore
waters are perfect for catching wide variety of fish. Typical catches
include: Barracuda, Snapper, Cassava, Ladyfish, Angelfish, Captain Fish
and many other local spec

This excursion is a full day historical trip starting with a 6:30am pick-up from your hotel, then a short drive to Banjul ferry terminal and a 45-Minute ferry crossing to Barra. From Barra it’s an Hour drive to Juffureh, Albreda.

This cultural and nature excursion will give you an opportunity to experience the sights and sound of both southern part of The Gambia as well as the southern part of Senegal.

George Town is an old colonial settlement that was used by foreign occupiers as a vital transit point for trade in commerce goods and slaves. Excursion to the island includes all meals and drinks.

This is one of the most adventurous excursions which spans across three different countries – The Gambia which was colonised by the British, Senegal which was colonised by the French and Guinea Bissau which was colonised by the Portuguese.

We will drive to the city of Banjul, where we will board the ferry for a short scenic cruise to Barra on the North Bank, where we will explore Fort Bullen, a famous anti-slavery monument and classic 18th Century British fort.

From the hotels, drive to Banjul to cross the ferry on the River Gambia to the North bank to Barra with a stop at the Fort Bullen historical sight. From there driving continues to Kerewan then to Farafenni where a stop is made for lunch

This excursion begins at 8:30 am driving towards the Gambia-Senegal border to South Senegal. This adventurous excursion lets you experience nature and culture. We will have the opportunity to visit the village chief, the markets.
